Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a former number one, has had a challenging period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and eventually separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the past month - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface from March of 2023.
Victory also means he has won 21 victories at 21 different events.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my children together, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the final five games to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a decider.
Moutet defended four initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched the win with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
