Mystery Pink Ooze on Secluded Tasmanian Beach Prompts Concerns of Potential Phytoplankton Proliferation

Authorities in the island state are striving to determine a rosy sludge that has surfaced on a secluded beach, with certain experts worried it could be an algal bloom.

Broad Appearance On Coastline

The magenta-hued slime appeared along a portion of a coastal area about 60 kilometers south of the capital. A comparable ooze has also been noted on areas of another local beach and Little Taylors Bay.
